GALLERY MAC will participate in 2026 Art Central Hong Kong, taking place at the Hong Kong Harbourfront from March 24 to 29. Through the 'Duo Project' and the special exhibition section 'Yi Tai Project', the gallery will present works by Hyeeun KANG, Eunju KIM, and Jeong-A BANG.

The 'Duo Project' highlights the practices of Hyeeun KANG(b.1956) and Eunju KIM(b.1965) under the theme “The Time of Repetition and Layers.” Working in distinct media—oil paint and pencil—both artists build their images through sustained, repetitive gestures. Their works explore how repetition and the accumulation of time generate a dense painterly presence, where material, labor, and process gradually unfold into layered visual fields.

In the special exhibition section 'Yi Tai Project', which presents installation-based and experimental practices that expand sculptural language and foster aesthetic discourse, Jeong-A BANG(b.1968) will present two large-scale fabric works. Through layered textiles and distinctive linear structures, Bang examines the relationships and boundaries between different beings and systems. In an era marked by war, climate crisis, and rapid technological change, her works invite viewers to reflect on the possibilities of connection and expansion that persist even amid growing uncertainty.

맥화랑은 3월 24일부터 29일까지 홍콩 하버프런트에서 진행되는 아트센트럴 홍콩에 참가하여 'Duo Project'와 특별전 'Yi Tai Project'를 통해 한국 중견작가 강혜은, 김은주, 방정아의 작업을 선보입니다.

강혜은(b.1956-)과 김은주(b.1965-) 두 작가의 작업을 집중적으로 소개하는 섹션인 Duo Project에서는〈반복과 중첩의 시간〉이라는 주제로, 서로 다른 매체인 유화와 연필을 통해 반복적 행위와 시간의 축적이 만들어내는 회화적 밀도를 탐구합니다.

설치, 실험적 형태의 조형적 확장을 보여주며 미학적 담론 형성의 장으로서 기능하는 특별전 섹션인 Yi Tai Project에서는 방정아(b.1968-) 작가의 대형 천 작업 두 점을 통해 서로 다른 존재와 구조 사이의 관계와 경계를 탐구합니다. 전쟁과 기후 위기, 기술 변화 등 불안이 증폭되는 불확실한 시대 속에서도 서로를 향한 관계의 가능성을 마주하게 될 것입니다.
